KEVIN'S POV I found Dawn a little amusing, but that's from my POV. [No pun intended] Now it's not turn to call. ME: Hey, can we use your phone so we can both listen without speaker? JADE: Sure, hang on. She handed me her phone and I quickly dialed Nick's cell phone number. NICK: Hello? ME: Hey, Nick, what's up. NICK: Nothing much. And you? ME: Actually, I've got a game plan for today. Um... wanna hang with two of my friends today at a museum> With Joe? NICK: You have friends here? I looked @ Jade. ME: Yup. You'll recognize them, I believe. So, are you in? 1 of my friends and I will pick you up @ 12:30 for our "appointment." What do you say? NICK: Hang on, let me ask Joe. Hang on. *A minute passed when Nick picked up the phone again.* Joe's in. His voice hinted something deeper. ME: 'K. We'll see you in 'bout 40 minutes. Bye. *I hung up the phone and we turned onto a new street.* CRAP! JADE: *trying one handedly to put her phone & headphones in her pocket* What? ME: I'm warning you, Joe and Nick will be acting... oddly when we meet hem. JADE: Why? ME: Because I've been acting... well, to them... differently for less than 24 hours & I know they're worried. JADE: Oh... GOTCHA! Well, here we are. My wonderful house.
